Lessons from 2018
The Mirror “The Mirror” is a terminology that I recently learnt after finishing the last book that I read in 2018 (which I finished on the same 31st of December). I am talking about “The four agreements”. I will include it on my future list about more books to read. In summary, the whole books explain to you why you should NEVER take anything personally. Everything we do and we say it’s a reflection of ourselves. Furthermore, if someone is rude to you, or makes a nasty comment about your body, you shouldn’t take it as a personal attack, because the reason that individual behaved like that reside in them.…

2019 Starter Pack
With the beginning of 2019, we feel it’s the right time to start working again on ourselves and improve the habits we have left behind. This includes resolutions, changes and new interests. This post is not so much about the resolutions, but about my personal Starter Pack for this year. 2018 has been an incredibly eventful year, with different chapters and experiences in my life and the results have been extremely positive for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to work harder and harder and improve myself and my life. I decided to put together a few items that will help me change some of the habits I wasn’t happy…

5 Amazing Books You Need to Read Before Going Back to the Real World
Some years ago, one of my teachers was talking about the importance of reading. He said something along the lines of “When I see a teenager reading, I think, he’s saved”. Well, that’s bullshit. I don’t think reading ANY type of book is going to save you from whatever that sentence was referring to. Some books are simply a waste of time. Nowadays, most publishers are more interested in the money the book is going to make than the quality of the book itself. Some of the books that I read in my teenage years were a waste of time. They entertained, yes, but didn’t help me learn or grow…

Habits That Will Help You Become The Real Owner Of Your Life
“We are all slaves, it doesn’t matter where you live or what you do for a living”. I’ve heard that sentence a million times, and it stays in my mind nowadays because it explains the foundation of society. We are born in a place by pure chance. It is a lottery none of us played for. None of us decided on which country or family be born. However, all countries survive with a similar system. You will study for some years (which vary according to the place you are), the subjects you study will vary depending on the country. But they will be already established in order to prepare you…

JULY FAVOURITES
Too Good To Go Do you have a busy day off and zero will to cook any food? Or maybe you are enjoying your day off and want to try something new without spending too much? No worries, apparently there is an App that shows you the food places that offer some of their meals for less than half the original price (I promise this is not sponsored). I usually sort them by distance and get the closest one. Also, you should read the reviews before you buy your “surprise meal”, it really helps a lot. One of the funny things about this app is that you get one…

JUNE FAVOURITES
I enjoyed writing the May favourites post (https://chatswithmycat.com/top-may-favourites/). In fact, I enjoyed it that much that decided to write a June favourite too. And, maybe, it will become a permanent post forever, the “Monthly Favourites”: maybe not extremely original but for me, very cool. Who doesn’t love talking about their new favourite things that have discovered? June has been an interesting month, I got to try many things (especially food places) and started watched some new shows, so I hope you enjoy the post as much as I do writing it. 1.- NEW YORK As I said on my “2018 April resolution” post (https://chatswithmycat.com/2018-april-resolutions/) I wanted to travel overseas (outside…
