Moods Are More Contagious Than Viruses
Nothing is Neutral I have seen people die. Not because their hearts stopped beating, or because their bodies quit functioning. I have seen people die, or perhaps the best word would be “disappear” because at one point I looked at them and couldn’t recognise who they were anymore. Their personality hadn’t just changed. It had transformed into a character I hadn’t met before. I have looked at someone I knew for years and noticed how their entire identity seemed to belong to a different person. I have listened to them talking yet all I could think was: who the hell are you? Personality changing isn’t a great deal. We can…

An Awful Lot of Screen Time
A small detail about me, I was born in 1990 and lived for the most part of my life in a big city in Spain. As a proper kid in the 90s, I spent a big part of my childhood summers watching and rewatching TV shows and movies whilst savouring strawberry sorbets. Nowadays, I try to limit myself to one episode/movie per night. A nice story before going to sleep is by far my favourite way of concluding the day. Also, it helps me get sleepy. As a consequence, not having anything interesting to watch creates a slight feeling of emptiness. I know there are great visual entertainment options out…

Audiobooks VS Books
I had finished listening to one of the “No. 1 Sellers” on Amazon. One of those that are recommended in every Social Media platform by every influencer that reviews books. I had nothing else to do and the feeling of “whatever” that this story had left on me wasn’t leaving anytime soon. My biggest motivation to choose that specific title wasn’t the synopsis, it wasn’t the genre and definitely wasn’t the front page image. It was the over 10k positive reviews on its Amazon page. I decided to check the number of copies that a book needs to sell to become a Bestseller. The results of my (very simple) research were:…

There We Go 2022!
Happy New Year! I thought I would come back to this secret cave of content to wish all of you a Happy New Year and share some thoughts about the upcoming 2022. Every 30th of December I like to sit down with a cup of hot chocolate and make a review of my entire year. I go through all of the Resolutions I wrote down with a bittersweet feeling. I convince myself that I could have done better and try to come up with the reason why I didn’t. I think about my motivations and purposes, the reasons why I wrote them down on paper so that I can understand…

Welcome To The Season Of Movie Nights
If there is one thing that makes us feel like we are almost back to normal is the release of multiple movies and shows. It has been a long wait since we had the opportunity to watch another season of our favourite sagas. The beginning of autumn (AKA the best season of the year) has launched new trailers for upcoming TV Shows that we can excitingly add to our list of “Things to wait for”. If you love spending your weekend evenings cooking mug cakes and drinking mulled cider immersed in a story, check out this update and let me know if I am missing something! 1- Maid …

How to Improve Your Financial Literacy
I hate maths. I really do…at least most of the time. But sometimes, when I understand them, I love them. Money always felt like maths to me: numbers related to a valuable coin. But money wasn’t a common topic of discussion in my social circle. Expressions like “Money is the root of all evil” stayed in my memory growing up, creating a negative accent around the subject. Why is money the root of all evil if we need it for everything? The more I thought about it, the more sceptical I felt regarding those negative ideas. I knew food costed money, and nobody can survive out of water and air.…
