JULY FAVOURITES

Too Good To Go

Do you have a busy day off and zero will to cook any food? Or maybe you are enjoying your day off and want to try something new without spending too much? No worries, apparently there is an App that shows you the food places that offer some of their meals for less than half the original price (I promise this is not sponsored). I usually sort them by distance and get the closest one. Also, you should read the reviews before you buy your “surprise meal”, it really helps a lot.

One of the funny things about this app is that you get one portion or two, but you don’t really know what are you going to get, so it’s like a surprise. Obviously, if you buy something from a cupcake shop, you’re not going to get a Caesar salad, but apart from that, these surprises can be very positive!

Sharp Objects

The TV Show of the month! I have been 3 weeks waiting for this psychological thriller to be released. A journalist goes back to her hometown to investigate a series of murders whilst “fighting her own demons”. Oh, and of course whilst confronting her very toxic mum again and again.

Breath: the novel

I watched the trailer for the upcoming movie and decided to read the book. The novel “Breath” focuses on the life of a young boy living in a village on the Australian coast in the ’70s. His life, feelings and thoughts alongside his best friend, Loonie, and the man that teaches them how to surf.

Book

I love the ability of the book to take you to another place and environment. I love the way of thinking of the protagonist and it’s so easy to empathize with emotions and thoughts. Now I am looking forward to watching the movie, which apparently has been directed by Simon Baker.

Pho

Food place of the month! Pho is a Vietnamese dish and it’s served at the restaurant with the same name.

My favourite was the “Spicy Beef Brisket Pho”. The portions are great and the starters (vegetable rolls with peanut sauce) are also amazing. The salad is different, with a perfect “exotic” flavour, so it is perfect for a summer night.

Those are my July favourites, have you tried some of them? Which are July favourites?

This one has been a crazy month. I hope to get up to date with the bog very from now on.
