Habits That Will Help You Become The Real Owner Of Your Life

“We are all slaves, it doesn’t matter where you live or what you do for a living”. I’ve heard that sentence a million times, and it stays in my mind nowadays because it explains the foundation of society.

We are born in a place by pure chance. It is a lottery none of us played for. None of us decided on which country or family be born. However, all countries survive with a similar system.

You will study for some years (which vary according to the place you are), the subjects you study will vary depending on the country. But they will be already established in order to prepare you for being a productive part of the country. When you finish your studies, you will be incorporated into a workplace, and then you will work full-time for your basic needs.

The decisions we make in our lives and the habits we introduce can be life-changing in the long term.

I love reading about habits, lifestyles and successful people. When I say successful people, I don’t mean people who won the lottery, or popular football players or singers.

In fact, it’s very simple to find singers, lottery winners and more “successful people” that ended up homeless and full of debt. With “successful” I mean people whose mindset helped them improve their situation.

So I came to this conclusion: if most financially successful people (free people) has some important habits in common… I want to make a post about them.

1. -LEARN/READ

Successful people are aware that their education should never stop. In fact, they know their real education will start after finishing the academic one. This is because education for the real world is never taught in an academic environment.

But if you are looking for something else, you will need to keep studying and exercising your brain through the years. Don’t worry, at least you won’t need to sit and listen to a very unmotivated teacher. Nor passing a test at the end of the year.

Oh, and try to read books that you can apply to your life. I mean preferably non-fiction books that help you improve your life in some way.

2. –PRIORITIES

Most successful people know how to establish their priorities, so they can dedicate their time to them and leave the less important things outside. This includes saying NO.

If you have to do something that is important to you, you will often need to say no to other options that may look like opportunities, but they would be a waste of time in the long term.

Tom’s dream is to create a blog, a professional “newspaper online” because he loves writing about the nowadays political situation around the world. He still doesn’t know how to do it, but he is 100% sure he wants it. So he is using his free time to study about the first steps to open it and the investments he needs to do.

You need to educate yourself to decide what is good for you because life is full of traps dressed as opportunities.

3. -HEALTH IS A PRIORITY

Health is usually a priority for most successful people. They know they need to nourish their body as well as their brain. Eating healthy food will help them feel better, and they need to feel well in order to keep studying and being productive.

Sport is usually good incorporation. 30 minutes of exercise in the morning or afternoon can help you give your body the perfect “boost” to feel waken and ready to kill the day.

You may change your side fries for a salad. Or maybe change the sandwich at lunch for nice chicken soup. I agree with this habit, I find myself feeling better and more productive after eating something healthy.

Also, improving your health means you are avoiding possible future health problems and dependence on medicines.
