Latest Discoveries
It’s been a while since the last time I made a post talking about the latest discoveries in my life and the truth is that during the last few months I have accumulated some places! You still have time to try most of them if you like them!
1. Kintan
I was looking for a nice barbecue place to have some dinner. This restaurant was way better than I expected. We happened to go on Monday and apparently the had “Happy hour” for the whole day. They also have a nice happy hour from 4 to 7 that offers you a 2×1 in several dishes. The price was good, the food was delicious and I experienced for the first time the famous “Korean Barbecue”.
2. Bojack Horseman
I just started watching this show, and I am loving it! A narcissistic guy (a horse) lives in his mansion remembering how he used to be in a very popular TV Show. He struggles to find a new job and to keep his life meaningful, something hard when he is so incredibly selfish. Link for the trailer if you want to have a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1eJMig5Ik4
3. Christmas drinks
The best time of the year to try some new drinks to warm you up is definitely Christmas season. Some places like “Costa” or “Café Nero” release some great drinks like “Hazelnut Praline Latte” and “Salted Caramel Latte” and I am loving them. In fact, my coffee expenses in December were a bit higher than I would like to. However, it’s only for Christmas! I still want to try the “Black forest hot chocolate” but I don’t think that will be possible as it’s not Christmas anymore…Another “Christmas (or just Winter) drink that I had the chance to try was the delicious Hot Chocolate with Baileys. Lucky me, I learned how to do it by myself too!
4. Tuesdays are the new Fridays
8. Ok, maybe not Tuesday, it can be a Monday or any day that you feel like it. It’s something that I have never done before. Hanging after work. This is of course not an everyday plan, but it can be very refreshing once in a while. I have never been a person that hangs around much. From Monday to Friday, my schedule was to do my homework/study/sport.etc. When I finished studying it was working, but the only time of the week when I would allow myself to go out and enjoy myself was Friday evening and Saturday. Maybe some Sunday, but that was an exception. The last few months I have tried to be more open. I can finish work and yes, there are still many things to do, but at least one of the weekdays I will enjoy going out and visit someplace, have some drink or enjoy the Christmas decorations from some shopping centre. I highly recommend this after a very stressful day.
5. Berlin
I visited the city this year and it was really nice and quite break. The weather was good, the food was good (and surprisingly affordable). I had the chance to try what they call the “Third Wave of Coffee”, a new idea that focuses on high-quality coffee (and milk, if you want a Latte). It was a delicious experience so I will make sure to visit the place again in the future. My highlight was this “Charcoal Activated Latte”.
6. Barcelona
Another city that I had the pleasure to discover again was Barcelona. We spent 4 days last month and it was totally worth it. Of course, we visited the most emblematic areas and quarters and I enjoyed looking at the buildings everywhere. My highlight was the Boqueria Market, but I was so busy eating and checking things out that I forgot taking any pictures, so let’s just settle with this random photo I took on the street.

I started watching Bojack Horseman recently and I absolutely loved it, it’s not just a silly comedy TV show, it’s really good

I know, and the more you watch it, the more real (and dramatic) it gets.
Probably one of the best discoveries.
Take care!

Barcelona is very unique.
Next time, I want to stay for more days so I can see everything with no rush.

Even I was sceptical about Bojack Horseman.
It took me a while to decide to watch it, now I’m happy I did it.
