EPIC TV SHOWS TO BINGE WATCH

TV shows are part of the daily life of many people. I personally like to end the day watching an episode of the respective show. Just before going to bed, something like a “nightly ritual”.

While some shows are just an easy way to pass the time, others make you have the best moment of the day. These are some of the best shows I’ve seen so far.

Chris Lilley shows

Every single show this man has created is, in my opinion, a piece of art. Some time ago, I was looking for some TV show to binge on IMDB, and this guy’s face appeared on my screen as a recommendation.

Chris Lilley has the talent to reflect the worst side of people in the funniest possible way. The hypocrisy of the characters he represents, the narcissism surrounds the unique characters such as Jamie on “Jaime private school”, along with the permissive society they live in. Each character he performs has a completely different personality and sometimes they are located in different parts of the word. I would recommend starting with “Jamie Private school”

but my favourites also include “Summer Heights High” and “Angry Boys”.

THE INBETWEENERS

A British show with antihero teenagers who attend high school and get themselves involved in both funny and stupid circumstances. The episodes are very short and easy to watch.

THE OFFICE

The last comedy on this post. The office started as a British show and due to its success, an American show was released with more seasons and episodes. I think they are both great, but for some reason, but my favourite is the American one. The characters are very well selected, the screenplay is original and the episodes are short, which is always something positive to me.

GYPSY

Naomi Watts plays a therapist with a family and a seemingly perfect life, but she hides a second secret life in which she intrudes herself too much on her patient’s private lives.

For some reason, this “Psycho Drama” has gotten tempered reviews. To me, it was like a breath of fresh air after all this amount of “crime and “historical” shows Netflix insist I should watch (I know some of them are great though). The story is original and is also a topic we are not used to seeing on TV: the professionality of some people with privileged positions in our lives. The interpretation of Naomi Watts is, in my opinion, perfect. However, so to my disgrace, they have already cancelled the show!

PEAKY BLINDERS

I postponed this TV show because it had two things I disliked: crime and historical. The reviews were amazing, and I couldn’t be happier I gave it a chance. This epic gangster drama is based on the aftermath of the Great War, in England. If it was possible to make a “Death Note show” without the fantasy side, adding some historical drama and making it British based, it would probably be this one.

Let me know if you have watched some of these shows! And feel free to give me recommendations on others you think are great too!
