Save Your Precious Time with 7 Simple Hacks
We all appreciate having those extra minutes to finish every task we need to get done. These are my favourite time-saving hacks to get the most of your day.
-
Block Those Time Thief Websites
Yes, we are talking about Facebook and other Social media platforms. Do you spend hours checking Facebook every week? Can you see your life leaving your body forever whilst looking at your friend’s last photo?
Maybe the Demon is your favourite shop’s page, letting you know that the new season trend is out.
The Internet can be amazing, but also dangerous for our productivity and an amazing time waster. There are apps and software where you can choose the page you want to block and avoid you from getting falling in the trap.

Pre-cook some meals.
If you are going to boil some rice, try boiling twice the amount you actually need to eat and store the rest in a glass container for the next day. The same with any other grain or pasta.
Next time you need to eat, you won’t need to spend that time preparing it.
-
Citymapper.
My favourite phone app when I am short on time. With Citymapper, I just need to write down my desired destination and the app will show me the shortest route. You can so use it to check the cheapest route or to calculate how long will take you to get there walking.
It’s also incredibly useful if you are not sure about the lines you have to use or even to get to the place walking.
-
Dry Conditioner
If you have long hair, you probably use a liquid conditioner every time you wash it. However, using this type of product forces you to stay a few extra minutes in the shower. Using a spray conditioner that doesn’t need to be rinsed can save you a decent amount of time every day.
-
Car/bus time
I bet you have this one thing you want to learn about. It can be a new language, or maybe you are learning about stocks. If you don’t have much free time, you can use the hours you spend on the bus/car every day reading or listening to it.
Nowadays, we can get an advantage from a wide offer of audiobooks and podcast about absolutely every topic you can imagine.
Even if the journey it’s just 20 minutes long, they will be 20 minutes well spent that, after a week, will become almost 2 hours!
-
Grocery Shopping Online
If you follow my blog you probably know by now that this is one of my favourite saving time hacks. Get on the website, add the food to the basket, choose the day and time you want them to be delivered and pay.
-
Alarms
An old but essential one. If you get home and you sill need time to work or study something else, set up an alarm the reminds you when to start and when to stop. This will avoid unnecessary distractions.
And that’s all for my top hack to save more time.
Thanks for reading and have a good day!

Great post as always and very practical!
I always try to precook my meals for the next day during the week, but I don’t always succeed on that because it’s so boring! hahaha

I try to do it at the same time so it doesn’t take me that long.
The only thing is that I need to remember I left everything in the fridge so it doesn’t expire!
Take care 🙂

I know, from the moment I learnt how to use it in London it became a must. Sometimes even lets you know there are delays, a total lifesaver to me!
