4 Effortless Ways To Make Your Life Enjoyable
When your routine starts suffocating your motivation reserves, a few small changes can go a long way.
If this is the case, and you need to make some specific adjustments in your routine that truly upgrade your lifestyle and your overall wellness.
These are some of the alterations I recently made in order to enjoy my life more:
1- Monday Party
I am pretty sure most of us mortals suffer a common symptom: The Monday Blues. This is possible even if you like your job. Mondays are the goodbye to the freedom you savoured during the weekend and the welcome to the routine and the job you depend on.
A nice way to soften, o even defeat this feeling is to make an exciting plan for Mondays. That way, the day goes by with a better mood because you are looking forward to enjoying the fun plan that’s coming up in the evening.
Therefore, I started doing some research and found that Mondays are also the day of the week when theatres offer their ticket for a cheaper price.
I started going to the movies every Monday and it felt amazing! You will spend the day feeling more motivated because you have a great plan for the evening.
2- Groceries online
Buying groceries is one of the most annoying tasks in my to-do list!
It takes time, especially if you don’t live close to the supermarket. I started getting the grocery shopping online a few months ago and I will keep doing it like that by now. You would think the minimum price for getting it delivered is slightly expensive but in my experience is totally worth it.
With the online shopping option, you just need to click on the products you need and spend the rest of the day doing something you more productive or at least enjoyable!
3- Stoicism and Mindfulness
This word sounded a bit “old-Romans” the first time I heard it. It reminded me specifically to those Greek and Romans battles we watch in movies.
I ended up reading about it, just to keep myself updated with the new “philosophical movement”. Unsurprisingly, the word was NOT related to Gladiator.
Negative thoughts are underrated, if they get to us and stay in our brains for just a few minutes, they can easily destroy our day. It’s important to try to change our perspective of the world.
Practising mindfulness for just a few minutes a day can help us control our thoughts and avoid the devil in our brain from controlling our mood.
4- Wednesdays are now “Relaxingdays”
Something like a Bedtime Ritual. Prepare yourself a nice bath. Everybody deserves to feel spoiled at least once a week.
Exfoliate your body, moisturise your skin and put on a cute face hydrating face mask while you read your favourite book or listen to classical music.
Spray some nice fragrance on your pillows, massage your legs and go to sleep. Of course, you can choose to do those activities on Monday, Tuesday or Friday. You can even do it every day if you have the time.
Having at least one night a week to treat your body and relax your mind will also improve your sleep quality.
These are my four practices to create a more enjoyable life. Have you tried any of them?
