2018 APRIL RESOLUTIONS

2018 APRIL RESOLUTIONS

A few weeks ago, I read an article that said that March is the month in which most people leave behind their New Year’s resolutions.

I didn’t write down any resolutions for 2018, but I started the year in a very productive and active way. Of course, that has been fading progressively.

Don’t worry, because it’s almost April, and April it’s the best month to do the 2018 resolutions! Because you know better than ever which are your needs right now, which parts of your life need to be improved, and because there isn’t any New Year’s pressure for you to follow them. Aldo, January can be hard enough by itself and you should be able to do these resolutions because you feel like you want to do it, not because everyone is doing it.

These are going to be my April resolutions:

1.- Journal: Doing a review of the day and my deepest or stupid thoughts with a diary is something I did for many years in my teenage years. I have proposed many times to return to it, but there always seems to be too many things to do and just so little free time to get to it. Continuing with a journal helps a lot to see your day and your life from a different perspective, so continuing with a journal will be one of my purposes.

2.- Blog: I enjoy writing posts, talking about my thoughts, my hobbies and especially using this place as a tool to improve myself and operate small changes in my life, and, if it’s possible, give you some ideas and tips so you can improve yours. So, I hope I can do something good (or at least not too bad for now) with this blog.

3.- Minimal: One of the purposes that I have proposed has been to continue applying minimalist practices into my life. Stop consuming in excess products that I do not need, you know to spot them and improve my habits of consumption and organization.

4.- Travel Overseas: Living in Europe kind of relaxes me too much when it comes to travel. I usually get flights to other countries of Europe and spend some holidays visiting other European cities. There is always a city I haven´t been in and travelling overseas it´s something that I keep postponing. I’m not sure where I want to go, but from now on I’ll start looking for flights for beyond.

5.- Exercise: Another thing that I have done all my life pro I have left for the last 2 years. And unfortunately, I’ve noticed it a lot. It’s too cliché, but it’s something that I could not miss.

6.- Diary/Organization: This is the most important of all. If this purpose fails, I fear that many of the above will also fail. The reason is that in order to carry out a productive life and good habits, we need to organize our life. After a change in the work position and schedule, it has been very difficult for me to organize myself to do everything I want to do. With a good schedule and an adequate organization, we can do many more activities during the day, feel less burdened and better about ourselves.

As A. A. Milne said, “Organizing is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up”.

Are you keeping up with the New Year’s resolutions?
